It was that time of year again – time to shuck the corn ya’ll. This is the third year we have been lucky to get locally grown corn from a friend of the family for a dirt cheap price. Does $3.00 a dozen make you a tad bit jealous? We get enough every year to last us through the year. We had to move our “corn shuckin’ party” to the basement this time because we are still having those silly heat advisories. Gotta love hot NC summers. Instead of just posting pictures like I usually do, I decided to “up my game” this year and put together a video too.
And then…we grilled it. And it was amazing. There just isn’t much better than grilling fresh corn on the day ya pick it!
Grilled corn on the cob

sprinkle with garlic powder, nutmeg, salt and pepper.
wrap each ear using a square piece of aluminum foil. ( lay corn cob diagonally on square and roll up. Then twist each end)
