My son told me the other night that this would change my life. “Okaaaaaay”, I said. I was intriqued and also up for anything life changing. Trey amazes me with some of the things he admits to cooking in the past. I would like to take the credit for teaching him how to cook, but I think he pretty much self taught himself. He wasn’t one to hang out in the kitchen when he was younger taking notes as I cooked dinner, youknowwhatImean?
So this post is a guest post from Trey, even though I am actually sitting here writing it. Which actually means it isn’t really a guest post, but rather just a recipe I am telling you about. And yes, I will get to the point so stop being so annoyed with me!
Bacon, brown sugar, cinnamon, and foil. That’s all you need.
Put about a cup of brown sugar in a bowl and then sprinkle in some cinnamon. There are no specific amounts, just eye ball it and maybe do a taste test, or ten taste tests. You know, just to make sure. Bottom line is you want it to taste sweet and cinnamon-ee.
Mix it up.
Line a baking sheet with foil and then lay out the bacon slices.
And then start rubbing the sugar mixture all over the top. Make sure to rub it in good.
Bake it in the oven at 350 for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven and flip bacon over. Then do the same thing as before by rubbing the sugar mixture all over the top. Return to oven and bake 10 to 15 minutes longer, or until done. You want it crispy.
Once done, remove from oven and let it cool on a waxed paper lined plate.
And here is the part that makes this recipe work. Keep it in the refrigerator. Eat it cold.
Eat it cold and you’ll never go back to hot.
Not really. But still.
